Queens second at regionals
GIBBONS — The RDC women’s placed second and the men third in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference northern regional golf playdowns at Goose Hummock Sunday.
MacEwan College won the women’s title with a 375 total over two days while RDC came in at 387. The top two scores count edach day.
Caitlyn Keliher led the RDC team with rounds of 93-92 for a 185 total which left her third overall.
Paulina Johnson shot back-to-back rounds of 102 while Lauren Goranson shot 102-113.
NAIT took the men’s team title with a 656 total while MacEwan was at 658, RDC 668 and Concordia 735. The top four men each day count toward the team total.
Jordie Weich led the RDC team with a 161 total following rounds of 83-78, which left him in fifth place.
Aaron Dyck placed 10th at 85-79—164 while Aaron Haakman shot 85-82—167, Eric de Wit 91-85—176, and Dylan Winnicki and Jordan Stevens, both had 91-89—180.
The RDC teams will compete in the ACAC championship Sunday and Monday at Wintergreen in Calgary.
