At Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School on the weekend, the home team fell just short in pursuit of a senior basketball tournament title Saturday.

The Raiders senior boys basketball team lost in the final for the second year in a row.

After beating Rival Hunting Hills High School Lightning in the semi-final, the Raiders squared off against the Brooks High School Buffalos in the final.

Brooks topped Lindsay Thurber 66-51, as the Raiders struggled to find the net in the third quarter, but fought back to make it close in the fourth.

The Notre Dame Cougars senior boys battled to a consolation victory, 65-63 over Grande Prairie Composite High School.

Vince Martin put up 20 points for the Cougars in the consolation game and Jeb Maribojoc added 11 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals. Issac Colosimo finished with a double-double for Notre Dame with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
