RDC Queens take silver in indoor track

The RDC Queens took silver in the team competition

LETHBRIDGE — The RDC Queens took silver in the team competition at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference indoor track championships during the weekend.

Jordanna Cota led the way with a silver in the 3,000-metres (11 minutes, 8.13 seconds), a fourth in the 1,500m and a second with the 4x400m relay team.

The relay team also included Sadie Borgfjord, Shaelyn Moltzhan and Jill Stewart.

Stewart also placed fifth in the 3,000m and seventh in the 1,500m.

Amy Severtson was fourth in the 1,000m and sixth in the 1,500m.

Borgfjord was fourth in the 300m and seventh in the 600m while Moltzhan was eighth in the 1,000m and ninth in the 600m. Breanne Berridge finished 14th in the 1,000m and 10th in the 600m. Laura Szymanek was 15th in the 600m.

On the men’s side the RDC Kings placed fourth in the team competition.

Nathan Goode was fifth in both the 300 and 600m finals. Nolan Dyck was seventh in the 1,000m with Jeff Willoughby eighth and Cory DeRaadt 11th. Willoughby also placed 14th in the 600m with Josh Malmsten 15th.

Adam Wass took ninth in the 3,000m and 10th in the 1,500m. DeRaadt was 13th in the 1,500m.

Devon Gurney placed 11th in the 3,000m.

The 4x400m relay team of Goode, Wass, Justin Moltzhan and Dyck was fourth.
