Red Deer Rebels captain Kai Uchacz has been named to the Central Division First All-Star Team.

The forward from DeWinton, Alta. had yet another season to remember scoring 80 points in 68 games including 42 goals and 39 assists in his final season in the Western Hockey League.

His longest win streak began on Oct. 27 through Nov. 28 and lasted 12 games for 18 points.

This was his second consecutive season being named to the First All-Star team after a stellar 50-goal campaign in the 2022-23 season.

Others named to the list in the central division include Medicine Hat Tigers rookie Gavin McKenna, Swift Current Broncos forward Conor Geekie, Broncos defenceman Owen Pickering, Calgary Hitmen defenceman Carter Yakemchuk, and Lethbridge Hurricanes goaltender Harrison Meneghin.

No Rebels were selected to the Central Division Second All-Star Team but Red Deer product Justice Christensen, who plays for the Prince Albert Raiders, was named to the East Division Second All-Star Team. Olds defenceman Charlie Wright of the Saskatoon Blades was also selected.

The Central Division Second All-Star team includes Broncos goaltender Reid Dyck, Hurricanes defenceman Noah Chadwick, Edmonton Oil Kings defenceman Marc Lajoie, Hitmen forward Oliver Tulk, and Tigers forwards Oasiz Wiesblatt and Andrew Basha.
