U.S. Olympian attending Lacombe sports gala

Tonight at the Lacombe Memorial Centre, a cast of top athletes from around North America will visit for the eighth annual Lacombe Athletic Park Association Gala.

The latest addition includes U.S. Olympic Johnny Quinn, who competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in bobsled.

Quinn was also a wide receiver in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers, before playing for the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2009.

The former Olympian joins Ottawa Redblacks linebacker Tanner Doll, Montreal Alouettes defensive lineman Michael Klassen, Toronto Argonaut Sean McEwen and former Montreal Canadiens forward Gilbert Dionne.

Doors open for the event at 5 p.m.
