Fun skating in Ponoka Centennial Park: After many hours of work, and frigid winter temperatures, volunteers had the ice skate path in Ponoka Lions Centennial Park ready last weekend. Getting in the first skates on the path Jan. 13 are brothers Tyler and Shawn Hoeksema. Developing the path was also made possible with a grant from Ponoka FCSS and some work from the Town of Ponoka, flooding from members of the Ponoka County East District Fire Department and work from other community groups.
