Bail hearings were conducted Thursday for 21 Greenpeace activists who were arrested and charged after allegedly unlawfully entering a Suncor mine site in Fort McMurray on Wednesday.

Bail hearings were conducted Thursday for 21 Greenpeace activists who were arrested and charged after allegedly unlawfully entering a Suncor mine site in Fort McMurray on Wednesday. Tavis John Ford, the lone Albertan in the group, was released on a no-cash recognizance. The nine other Canadian activists were released on $500 cash bail. And the 11 remaining activists were released on $2,500 cash bail.
