An Air Spray Aviation Lockheed Electra L-188 air tanker is prepared on Tuesday for its flight to Fort McMurray, where it will be available for fire-fighting duties.
A second water bomber was scheduled to fly to Slave Lake on Wednesday.
With forest fire season close at hand, Air Spray — which has its operations base at the Red Deer Airport — is gearing up for duty in Alberta, British Columbia and the Yukon.
