Auto thieves roll a dozen new vehicles off Calgary dealership lot

A dozen brand new vehicles worth more than $360,000 have been stolen from a Calgary car dealership.

CALGARY — A dozen brand new vehicles worth more than $360,000 have been stolen from a Calgary car dealership.

Police say thieves broke into a Nissan dealer’s office in the city’s northeast early Sunday morning.

They got in through the front door and took some keys before making off with the shiny new wheels.

The stolen vehicles include five Titan half-ton trucks, one smaller size Frontier truck, three Altima sedans and sport utility vehicles that include two Rogues and a Pathfinder.

Acting police Staff Sgt. Pat Ochitwa (oh-HEAT’-wah) says if anyone is approached about a great deal on a new Nissan that sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Ochitwa says the stolen autos have been flagged and can’t be registered.
