Caesars to phase out free parking at 8 Las Vegas resorts

Most Caesars Entertainment Corp.’s Las Vegas hotel-casinos will start phasing out free parking.

LAS VEGAS — Eight of Caesars Entertainment Corp.’s nine Las Vegas hotel-casinos will start phasing out free parking starting next month.

Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced Tuesday it will start charging for valet services at the Linq and Harrah’s next month and charge for self-parking later when new parking equipment is installed.

Caesars, The Cromwell, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Bally’s and the Flamingo will start charging for parking starting in 2017.

The company says guests have reported that parking has become scarce. It hopes paid parking will help cut down on the problem.

Parking will remain free at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino where the parking area is larger and the company says there aren’t similar problems.

The move follows a similar paid parking policy rolled out by MGM Resorts International earlier this year.
