Workers with Setters and Sons Construction Red Deer prepare the land west of Red Deer Co-op Home and Garden Centre on Riverside Drive for use as a parking area by the Co-op.
It was previously the site of NexCycle Plastics Inc., which closed after a fire last April badly damaged a building there.
The Co-op bought the property and then sold part of it, retaining the balance for its own use.
Paving is expected to be completed this summer.
