Disney professionals to visit Red Deer

Disney is returning to Red Deer.

Disney is returning to Red Deer.

The Disney Institute will offer Disney’s Approach to Inspiring Creativity on May 20 at Westerner Park.

Sponsored by the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce, Westerner Park and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the event will provide details of some of the best practices used by The Walt Disney Company in its operations.

“It’s a day of Disney Institute training that will offer dozens of easy-to-implement, proven ideas that can help businesses thrive and prosper,” said Jeff James, vice-president of the Disney Institute, in a news release.

“Walt and Roy Disney knew that their company’s success relied on their ability as leaders to encourage innovative ideas and then support the development of those ideas.

“Disney Institute shows how that process has remained a cornerstone of our company and offers ideas for implementing similar processes in other organizations — whether it’s a large company or a new business with just a few employees.”

Last May, the Disney Institute presented The Disney Keys to Excellence in Red Deer. That event focused on leadership, management, service and loyalty.

The Disney Institute provides professional development training to businesses and other organizations worldwide.

The cost to attend Disney’s Approach to Inspiring Creativity is $200 a person, which includes lunch and materials. Registration can be completed online at www.reddeerchamber.com, with more information available through the Chamber by calling 403-347-4491.
