Sarah Schumacher finally has her dream business.
A longtime riding enthusiast, Schumacher recently acquired The Bridle Path tack store in Burnt Lake Business Park. She’s renovated the premises, introduced new product lines and changed the store’s name to Victory Tack Shop.
Signage was scheduled to go up today, with a grand opening Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“It’s been my lifelong dream to have my own tack store,” said Schumacher, who was enthralled by such shops when she was a girl.
Victory Tack Shop specializes in English riding gear and apparel, and Schumacher said there are no comparable stores in the area.
“There are a few other western stores,” she added. “I’m strictly English.”
Central Alberta is a good market, said Schumacher, with many riders getting ready for this year’s horse shows.
