Home builders announce more award finalists

The Central Alberta branch of the Canadian Home Builder’s Association has announced the remaining finalists for its 2011 Awards of Excellence in Housing.

The Central Alberta branch of the Canadian Home Builder’s Association has announced the remaining finalists for its 2011 Awards of Excellence in Housing.

Vying for Service Professional of the Year (Small Category) are The River — 100.7 (Harvard Broadcasting), the National Home Warranty Program, Howard and Company and Dominion Lending Centres — Regional Mortgage Group. Finalists for Service Professionals of the Year (Large Category) are Sunny 94FM / the KRAZE 101.3 FM, Atco Gas, the City of Red Deer (Inspections and Planning Department) and Servus Credit Union.

For Supplier of the Year (Small Category) the finalists are Audio Innovations, Northland Construction Supplies, Fargeys Paint & Wallcoverings Ltd., Dynovac Industries Inc., All Weather Windows Ltd. and Red Deer Lighting. In the case of Supplier of the Year (Large Category), the finalists consist of Executive Home Building Centre, Communication Group Red Deer Ltd., Lafarge North America and Trail Appliances.

Trade of the Year (Small Category) will go to one of B&B Cowie, Clearview Glass, Canadian Closet & Storage or Henry’s Eavestroughing Ltd.; competition for Trade of the Year (Large Category) is among Gilmar Construction Ltd., KGH Mechanical Systems Ltd., Red Deer Overdoor, Goodmen Roofing Ltd., Carpet Colour Centre Carpet One and Bruin’s Plumbing & Heating Ltd.

Finalists for Awards of Excellence in Housing in the various building and renovation categories were announced last week.

The awards will be presented on Saturday.
