TOKYO — Japan’s industrial output in November rose 2.6 per cent from the previous month, helped by a recovery in global demand for Japanese products, the government said Monday.
The trade ministry said industrial output — a key barometer of Japan’s economic health — grew for the ninth consecutive month.
The November result beat a 2.3 per cent increase forecast in a Kyodo News agency survey of economists.
Shipments in November edged up 0.9 per cent month-on-month with inventories rising 0.2 per cent in the month.
