Luncheon to focus on multigenerational workforce

From language to learning style, the difference between an 18-year-old and a 65-year-old can be enormous.

From language to learning style, the difference between an 18-year-old and a 65-year-old can be enormous. Yet employers and managers can find themselves dealing with both in the same workplace.

Red Deer’s Downtown Business Association will offer some guidance next Thursday at a learning luncheon at the Red Deer Lodge.

Kristen Cumming, an Alberta-based speaker who specializes in workplace demographics, will present on Bridging The Gap — Recruitment and Retention in a Multigenerational Workforce. The event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with its cost $25 for Red Deer business revitalization zone ratepayers and $30 for others.

To register, call 403-340-8696 or email info@downtownreddeer.com.
