Travis Anderson of Burnt Lake Trail Construction Ltd. works on the exterior of a new health centre under construction at the northwest corner of Gaetz Avenue and 34th Street. The building will house a walk-in family medical clinic, with other medical specialists and a pharmacy planned as well. Initially, Dr. Christo Koen, who currently practises in Bashaw, and Dr. Francois Grimbeek, who is from Manitoba, will operate the clinic, which is slated to open by early July. Other doctors are expected to join the practice thereafter. The site was once the location of a Turbo Gas and Wash station, which was demolished in 2004.
