An Appollo Landscaping skidsteer smooths new topsoil over the underground parkade at Lakeshore Drive and 50th (Main) Street in Sylvan Lake Tuesday.
Town council ordered the work after an investors group of Central Alberta doctors was unable to develop the site fully after demolishing the Sylvan Lake Hotel and spending about $2-million to excavate and pour the parkade for a proposed hotel.
A new local ownership group is awaiting closure of the land’s sale anticipated sometime next week, said group representative Dan Wilson.
