Queens plans sought by city

Purchase proposals are now being sought for lots in Red Deer’s newly-developed Queens Business Park, located west of Hwy 2, across from the Edgar Industrial Park.

Purchase proposals are now being sought for lots in Red Deer’s newly-developed Queens Business Park, located west of Hwy 2, across from the Edgar Industrial Park.

Howard Thompson, Land and Economic Development manager for the City of Red Deer, has announced a deadline of June 4 for submissions, including preliminary site plans and refundable deposits.

“Due to the proximity of this business park to a major highway, the city is sensitive to the type of business uses and the quality of proposed developments,” Thompson said in a prepared statement.

He described the park as an ideal location for businesses that want good exposure and access to more than two million people who live within a 90-minute drive.

Queens Business Park includes 120 acres of industrial land and five acres of commercial. Industrial lots can range in size from one to 50 acres, said Thompson.
