A Red Deer company has joined the ranks of TSX Venture Exchange’s 50 top-performing companies.
Rifco Inc. (TSXV: RFC) earned the selection based on its market capitalization growth, share price appreciation, trading volume and analyst coverage as of Dec. 31.
Last year, Rifco had a 256 per cent rise in its stock price while its market capitalization increased by 265 per cent.
TSX Venture chooses 10 listed companies from each of five industry categories: mining, oil and gas, technology and life sciences, diversified industries, and clean technology. Rifco, which provides automobile loans through a dealership network across Canada, was ranked No. 6 in the diversified industries sector.
Last year, two other Central Alberta companies cracked the TSX Venture 50. IROC Energy Services Corp. (TSX-V: ISC) of Red Deer and Lonestar West Inc. (TSX-V: LSI) of Sylvan Lake were both among the top 10 in the diversified industries category.
There are 2,258 companies listed on TSX Venture Exchange.
