George Donnelly watches a crane lower a new auger spout about 25 metres up in the Sand Source Services plant in the Edgar Industrial Park Monday. Constant abrasion from the fracking and blasting sands moving through the spouts from holding tanks to trucks below causes wear significant enough to require their replacement as often as every six months.
