One of three FastCat ferries sits on a transport ship in Burrard Inlet off North Vancouver, as it is prepared for delivery to the Middle East Sunday.
The Pacificats, built by B.C.'s NDP government between 1999 and 2000 at a cost of more than $460-million were sold to Abu Dhabi Mar for an undisclosed price by the Washington Marine Group, who purchased them for $19.5 million after they were pulled from service within months of being built .
