A Medican construction worker attaches vapour barrier to the north side of the Sierras Michener Hill project on Monday. Located next to Extendicare Canada’s assisted living facility, the four-storey condominium will consist of 148 units, ranging in size from 775 to 1,805 square feet and starting at $198,000. Occupants must be 40 or older, and amenities will include a fitness centre, games room, crafts room, library, and hot tub and sauna. Work at the site stalled last May, when Medican filed for protection from its creditors, but resumed in the fall after a Calgary court approved a $42-million financing deal for project.
