The Tommy Guns experiment appears to have been a successful one.
A little more than a year after opening a men-only salon in Bower Place Shopping Centre under the name Tommy Guns Original Barbershop, Chatters Canada Ltd. is expanding the concept to Medicine Hat.
The Red Deer-based company said it will open the new outlet early next year.
“We launched the Tommy Guns concept in Red Deer in a centre with two very active, well-established salons,” said Chatters CEO Jason Volk.
“I am proud to say that we are thrilled with the success of our first Tommy Guns location and our staff are extremely happy there.”
Tommy Guns has a décor reminiscent of gangster-era Chicago or New York.
It offers its male customers in-mirror televisions, complimentary scalp massages and beverages. Services include hot shaves and neck shaves.
