TORONTO — Two construction firms and a computer hardware company have topped the annual list of the Fifty Best Employers in Canada. Edmonton’s PCL Constructors Inc. took the top spot this year after placing second last year. The construction and engineering firm has more than 2,000 employees.
The construction and engineering firm EllisDon Corp. of London, Ont., placed second.
Computer hardware firm Cisco Canada in Toronto placed third.
The study was conducted by the Globe and Mail newspaper’s Report on Business magazine and Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting and outsourcing company.
Rounding out the top 10 were: Law firm Bennett Jones of Calgary, engineering firm CIMA+ of Montreal, Calgary’s WestJet, Tobacco company JTI-Macdonald Corp. of Mississauga, BC Biomedical Laboratories Ltd. of Surrey, B.C., Regina’s financial services company Farm Credit Canada, and financial services brokerage firm Edward Jones of Mississauga, Ont.
