Alberta’s Own Music Festival, featuring independent bands from across the spectrum, joins Lacombe Days for the first time on the weekend of Thursday through Sunday, July 15-18.
Alberta’s Own brings together Alberta performers from hip hop and reggae to blues, jazz and country to provide live entertainment Friday through Sunday at Michener Park.
There will be even more music at other sites in town, including Ian Stewart performing in a cabaret at the Curling Rink on Saturday and a Much Music Dance for Grades 7 through 12 at the Lacombe Memorial Centre the same night.
Other events include baseball games, street skating and a high-performance Show and Shine.
Fireworks will be set off from Michener Park at 11 p.m. on Friday and a longer route has been set for the parade to take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
