Some old friends are getting together for music and dancing this month at the Lacombe Memorial Centre.
Anyone who enjoys an old-fashioned dinner and dance is invited to join them at the Friday, May 29 event, featuring the fiddling group Bow Fever and Friends.
The group is actually a collective of musicians who first started playing for the Alberta Pattern Dancers when they were just pre-teenagers. The musicians went their separate ways to attend college or take jobs, but are now reuniting once a year to play for the pattern dancers again.
The semi-formal event costs $25 a person for the dinner and dance, or $20 for the dance only (those under 17 years get in for half price). Cocktails are from 6 p.m., dinner starts at 7 p.m., and the dance begins at 8 p.m.
