A celebration of Celtic song and dance will take place in Olds on Saturday.

The Calgary-based dance company, Celtic Echoes, will take the stage at 7 p.m. at the Olds College Theatre.

The troupe of world-class dancers who performed two sold-out shows in Calgary, is led by music director Scott Duncan of Barrage and choreographed by artistic director Joelle Sheppard, a Masters of Arts graduate from the University of Limerick in Ireland.

“When I returned home to Canada, I wanted to share the energy and flavour of Irish music and dance with Albertans,” said Sheppard.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at celticechoes.ca or at the door.
