Central Music Festival calling all music lovers this Saturday

“What if we called a meeting and it degenerated into a party?”With that kind of billing, organizers of the Central Music Festival are hoping to attract a wide range of music lovers on Saturday to The Elks Club at 6315 Horn Street in Red Deer.

“What if we called a meeting and it degenerated into a party?”

With that kind of billing, organizers of the Central Music Festival are hoping to attract a wide range of music lovers on Saturday to The Elks Club at 6315 Horn Street in Red Deer.

Anyone who loves music and wants to see the festival return in summer 2015 is invited to an ideas meeting from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the club. Participants can “share their dreams” about what the festival can become, and volunteers can sign up. There will not be a festival this summer.

The festival supporters can return later that evening for a party and jam session from 8 p.m. (doors open at 7). The Ron Hubbard Band will set the joint jumping until about midnight.

There’s free admission and door prizes, and organizers are calling Central Music Festival Appreciation Day.
