Elks Lodge welcomes Kathy Kallick Band on Sept. 25 for the first Waskasoo Bluegrass event of the season. Guest fiddler Laurie Lewis also takes the stage. Tickets are available at 53 Street Music, The Red Deer Book Exchange and Jackson’s Pharmasave in Innisfail.

Lacombe Memorial Centre is the site of the Kinsmen Club of Lacombe Maritime Ceilidh featuring music by St. James Gate on Oct. 24 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Special guests will be Red Deer Legion Pipe Band, highland dancers Kenzie, Dani, and Emma with fiddler Paul Brooks. Memorial Centre in Red Deer will host Rodney Carrington — comedian, actor, singer, at 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. Tickets available from Black Knight Inn, phone 403-755-6626 or online at www.bkticketcentre.ca. Shows are open to fans of all ages but mature audience is advised. On Nov. 14 catch Lights at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $20, through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca.

The Centrium presents the following artists: George Jones with special guest Mike Gouchie on Oct. 15, Oct. 22 Brooks and Dunn, with special guest Gord Bamford — tickets, $79.50, at the Centrium. Corb Lund with special guest Ridley Bent takes over on Nov. 3, 7:30 p.m. — tickets $35 or $25. More country music with Alan Jackson and guest George Canyon goes on Nov. 20.
