Street art meets native culture in paintings by Red Deer artist Jesse Gouchey.
Gouchey’s artworks, which blend graffiti with aboriginal imagery, will be exhibited and sold on from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Dimension Design Resources, 4920 Gaetz Ave., second floor.
The business is setting up a temporary gallery called The Loft, which will show various artworks over the next six weeks. The goal is to promote a green Christmas by offering gift options, including CDs, that are manufactured locally.
Different artists will be featured every Friday and Saturday leading up to Christmas, with Gouchey, who now lives in Calgary, the focus this weekend.
