A Red Deer actor will be starring in a new comedic sci-fi web series slithering online on May 15.

Starlise Waschuk plays Mirai, a beautiful assassin on the mission to annihilate a hybrid of human and lizard living with a young scientist in the series Lizard at Home.

Written and shot over a 12-day period, Lizard at Home kicks off at 7 p.m. and will feature six episodes available at www.lizardathome.com.

Waschuk, who now lives in Vancouver, starred in Three Colours and Canvas, a film recently screened at Calgary’s Globe Cinema.

A graduate of Red Deer College’s Motion Picture Arts and Theatre Studies, she was also featured in the locally made movie Year After Year and American Virgins for Showcase TV.

She produced, starred in and also wrote the short sci-fi film Soldiers of the Earth released earlier this year.
