The band that brought you Sex and Candy will perform in Red Deer on Thursday at Wild Bill’s sports bar in the North Hill Inn.
Marcy Playground is best known for the 1997 No. 1 Billboard hit Sex and Candy. But most recently, the band partnered with Indaba Music to allow fans to make their own favorite on-line remixes of any track from the group’s 2009 album, Leaving Wonderland . . . In a Fit of Rage.
The result is Remixes from Wonderland, which was released last month. The 330 submitted remixes were eventually whittled down to 13 tracks remixed by fans from Antigua to the United Kingdom. The song Down the Drain was even remixed by Canadian Neil Morrissey.
