Pipe organ concert April 13

The sonorous sounds of the pipe organ will fill College Heights Church in Lacombe this month.

Graduating Canadian University College music student Jason Biel will perform the works of Bach, Mendelssohn, Franck and others on the church’s imposing pipe organ at a public recital on Sunday, April 13.

Biel has been studying the pipe organ at CUC for five years after deciding he liked the greater challenge the multi-keyboard instrument posed than the piano.

After graduation, the Central Alberta student plans to move to Edmonton to start studying for his master’s degree in music.

Everybody is welcome at his 7 p.m. recital at 6915 Maple Drive. There’s no admission charge.
