Red Deer actor Aaron Krogman, kneeling right, co-stars in the Rosebud Theatre production of A Child’s Christmas in Wales. Based on a Dylan Thomas short story, the family-oriented play transports audiences to a 19th-century winter wonderland, complete with nostalgic memories of snowball fights, wacky relatives, and Welsh carols. The production captured the imagination of the Calgary Welsh Society, which is donating its expertise to the show, as well as time and money. Rosebud Theatre’s artistic director, Morris Ertman, said he appreciates the society’s help, as well as “its love of words, of myth, family and music.” The play runs as a dinner theatre from today to Dec. 23 (Wednesdays to Saturdays, with some matinees). To reserve tickets, call 1-800-267-7553. For more information, go to www.rosebudtheatre.com
