Well-travelled ceramic artist to speak at Red Deer College

Robin Dupont will discuss his career in art at free lecture Thursday

An internationally trained ceramic artist will speak at Red Deer College on Thursday.

Robin Dupont, who runs a pottery studio in B.C., has worked in Canada, the U.S., Australia, Korea and China. He completed residencies at the Banff Centre, Red Deer College and Medalta in Medicine Hat after obtaining a Masters in Fine Arts degree through post-secondary studies in Alberta, B.C., Australia and Utah.

Dupont, a former guest instructor at the Alberta College of Art and Design and the University of Manitoba, will discuss various aspects of his career in art at 7 p.m. at the Margaret Parsons Theatre. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Dupont is appearing as part of RDC’s Art 101 speakers’ series.
