Meet the federal election candidates Oct. 15.

The Golden Circle Senior Resource Centre in Red Deer is hosting an informative, meet and greet event, open to the public ahead of the federal election Oct. 21.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., event runs 7 to 9 p.m. at The Golden Circle.

As of Friday morning, Red Deer-Lacombe riding candidates are Blaine Calkins for the Conservative Party of Canada, Sarah Palmer for the Green Party of Canada, Laura-Lynn Thompson for the People’s Party of Canada, Lauren Pezzella for the NDP and Tiffany Rose for the Liberal Party of Canada.

So far, the the candidates running for Red Deer-Mountain View riding are Earl Dreeshen for the Conservative Party of Canada, Gary Tremblay for the Liberal Party of Canada, Conner Borlé for the Green Party, Paul Mitchell for the People’s Party of Canada, Logan Garbanewski for the NDP.

Nomination deadline is Sept. 30.
