Non-profit groups are invited to apply for city funding for community recreation programs, services and events.
City of Red Deer's Community Recreation Enhancement Grant is available to non-profit groups, who must submit their applications online at www.reddeer.ca/RecreationGrants.
This year, community organizations will have an opportunity to join a virtual information session. It is set for March 4 at 7 p.m. and RSVPs are required by going to the same website.
Applications are accepted twice per year, on April 4 and Oct. 3. The deadline for the spring 2025 intake is April 4 at 4 p.m.
Each year, The City of Red Deer awards almost $100,000 to community sport and recreation groups to support and enhance their ability to deliver recreation services and programs to Red Deerians.
