Medicine River Wildlife Centre needs volunteers

Drink Container Collection Service gets underway

Medicine River Wildlife Centre needs reliable volunteers around Central Alberta to assist with its new Drink Container Collection Service.

The service allows Central Albertans to get rid of their containers and the centre to raise money by recycling the containers. Participants will receive a tax deductible receipt at the end of the year.

Volunteers are needed to drop off collection bins at homes and businesses in their community, and spend a few hours each month collecting containers from the bins.

The service will help provide sustainable revenue for many of the programs offered by the wildlife centre.

To participate or volunteer, call Carol at the centre at 403-728-3467 or e-mail info@mrwc.ca.

Medicine River Wildlife Centre, located west of Innisfail, treats injured and orphaned wildlife so they can return to their natural environment.
