Three arrested in Blackfalds armed robbery

Blackfalds RCMP have arrested two men and a youth in connection with a May 1 armed robbery.

Blackfalds RCMP said just after midnight on Monday they were called to Broadway Avenue to a reported armed robbery.

It was reported a lone male walking on Broadway Avenue was approached by three males in a black sedan. It is alleged one of them pulled a handgun and pointed it at the pedestrian, who was relieved of his backpack and its contents.

The three men then fled the scene in the sedan. The pedestrian was unharmed in the incident.

An 18-year-old man from Lacombe and an 18-year-old from Red Deer have been charged with robbery with a firearm.

A male youth has been charged with robbery.
