Eight Westerner Park staff recently cooked up a special meal for the families at Ronald McDonald House in Red Deer under the Home for Dinner program.
The program involves a group voluntarily purchasing groceries and providing dinner for families staying at Ronald McDonald House. This includes cooking, clean-up and packaging leftovers.
The homemade dinner consisted of burgers, sweet potato fries, pineapple ham, lemon rice, Greek salad, grilled watermelon, and a banana split.
Ben Antifaiff, CEO and General Manager at Westerner Park said staff are passionate about the community and the food they serve, so creating and preparing the dinner was natural and rewarding.
