Koe into final at Alberta Boston Pizza Cup

Multi-time provincial, Canadian and World champion Kevin Koe is into the finals at the 2025 Alberta Boston Pizza Cup. 

Koe won 6-4 on Saturday night at the Stettler Recreation Centre, booking a spot in the 3 p.m. Final Sunday. Koe scored a triple in the third end and led Evan Van Amsterdam 4-1 through six ends. Van Amsterdam cut the deficit to one in the seventh, but Koe added singles in the eighth and 10th end to close out the victory. 

Daylan Vavrek scored a 6-3 win over Jacob Libbus in nine ends and will play Van Amsterdam in the provincial semi-final Sunday at 10 a.m. The winner will face Koe at 3 p.m. 

Sunday's final winner will be crowned provincial champion and advances to the 2025 Montana’s Brier, which is set for Feb. 28 to March 9 in Kelowna.
