Kevin Koe has won the Curling Alberta Men's Playdowns, held at the Stettler Recreation Centre (SRC).
Following five days of competition, the finals of the Boston Pizza Cup took place on the afternoon of February. 9 with Koe taking on Evan Van Amsterdam in a rematch from earlier in the week.
Koe struck early in the game, picking up two points in the first end.
Van Amsterdam struck back, tying the game up in the second.
Koe picked up five more pints as the game progressed, defeating the Van Amsterdam rink in 10 ends with a final score of 9-7.
With the win, team Koe will represent Alberta at the Montana Brier in Kelowna, which is running from Feb. 28-March 9.
The Boston Pizza Cup has been running at the SRC since Feb. 5 and hosted by the Erskine Curling Club.
