A Year Ago on November 2, 2023
Daniel Anson Lawrence, a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away a year ago on November 2, 2023, in his hometown of Red Deer at the age of 92 years.
Dan's Celebration of Life was a true tribute to him. Rick Horn (passed away this year), a dear friend and work colleague, was the Master of Ceremonies for Dan's celebration of life. As Master of Ceremonies, Rick elegantly led the crowd through Dan's almost 100 years. Dan had an amazing energy and zest for life. The family is deeply thankful for everyone who attended.
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart we all endured the passing of 'COL' Richard James Horn who unexpectedly went out for his final ride on April 4, 2024, at the age of 77 years. We wanted to acknowledge him and send his wife Shirley as well as the rest of his family our deepest sympathies and best wishes.
Daniel Anson Lawrence will be remembered for his love for Phyllis, brother John, and their families and friends, his dedication to his community, and his diverse and successful career pursuits. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, determination, and a deep commitment to those he held dear. Dan's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Dan and Rick, you are deeply missed, but your memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts. May you continue to rest in peace.
