City mismanaging traffic flow efforts

Central Alberta’s recent weather should be the reality check for our city council and city manager.

Central Alberta’s recent weather should be the reality check for our city council and city manager.

They’ve planted a lot of crap on city streets: dividers and concrete islands, etc. All of this is in the name of making us slow down and smell the roses.

I am sure the city’s own plow crews and their contractors would like the dangerous wheel- and blade-breaking concrete gone as well. The consultants we hire to tell us how our streets should be actually need to come from a city that has ice and snow and not from Victoria (which mostly only sees rain).

I think council and city managers need to drop their subscription to Urban magazine and get the traffic moving as smoothly as possible under all circumstances year round.
