I thought I would share a good news story with regard to the city, its services and its employees.
On Thursday night, I placed a call to the road and maintenance department around 8 p.m. I actually got to speak with a live person, explained my issue with the back lane snow melting and draining right into my garage. In fact it was about three-quarters full and three inches deep.
She took my information and the next morning shortly after 8 there was a grader in the back lane doing the job. I went out to open the garage door and the operator opened his door. He was very upbeat about what he was doing and took the time to explain it to me, then worked his magic.
He even went beyond the minimum I was expecting. I was impressed with the prompt service from start to finish with this issue.
When my taxes are seen working in this manner, it is satisfying. Thank you.
