City’s annexation efforts deserve more recognition

In Monday’s Advocate, Greg Neiman wrote a nice editorial entitled “Council making progress.” It lists significant achievements by our city fathers and mothers.

In Monday’s Advocate, Greg Neiman wrote a nice editorial entitled “Council making progress.” It lists significant achievements by our city fathers and mothers.

In my opinion, Neiman missed an important achievement though: the latest round of annexation. It includes a sizable chunk of residential land north of Hwy 11A, between Hwy 2 and 2A. It includes Hazlett Lake, which is the size of some subdivisions.

In fact, in creating residential land there is a solution to one of Neiman’s “more to be done” list: solving “all the jobs on one side of the city and all the houses on the other” problem.
