Criminal Code falls short

A horrifying report of a gang rape of a l6-year-old girl — who police report was drugged — by five boys, has surfaced as having occurred in a field near Vancouver.

A dark side was that onlookers present did not want to get involved and that a l6-year-old male took pictures of the event, which were posted on Facebook.

How demeaning that such images could remain on the Internet for decades as a nightmare for the victim.

The horrifying situation presented is abetted by the fact that our Canadian government has initiated a maximum penalty for distributing sexual abuse pictures of anyone under the age of l8 years to be a 14-day jail sentence.

There have been massive increases in images on the Internet, of very graphic and violent images of very young children.

The Criminal Code, Section 163, is badly outdated and very inadequate.

The only way to protect children from pedophiles is to remove the pedophile from society.

Fortunately, the Canada Family Action group is hoping to send a strong message that such a nonsense sentence, as of now, is making a mockery in an attempt to protect our youth.

They are hoping to garner, as quickly as possible, a one-million-name petition to be sent their way.
