The Advocate’s Jan. 6 headline, Epic fail, was an insult to Team Canada’s players and coaches.
While the gold medal game’s result was disappointing for fans, one can only imagine the heartbreak experienced by the players and coaches.
Throughout the tournament, these young men played with great skill and intensity, and represented our country in a very sportsmanlike manner.
While coming home with a silver medal may be “disappointing” to some, it is certainly not an epic failure.
Shame on the Advocate staff writer who chose those words and/or the editor who approved them.
