Re: Chad Olsen sentence.
I am appalled and sickened with the sentence handed down by Judge Schollie.
Olsen is not a “kid,” as stated by his lawyer. He is a 24-year-old adult with no respect for the law or the rights of others.
His past record proves this — in a span of seven years he had 16 traffic violations and his licence suspended three times, and after all this he was still allowed to get drunk and kill two respected, law-abiding members of our community, destroy the lives of five young children and cause pain and suffering to countless friends and family.
For this he is sentenced to 27 months and his licence suspended for five years!
How can his life be worth so much more than all those he destroyed? God help all the members of the community when he is released from jail and allowed to drive again!
